Buchanans Foundry was one of the first New Zealand foundries to gain the ISO 9002 registration and has since been approved with ISO 9001:2000. The quality management systems have been approved by Telarc, a member of the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand. To ensure all international codes and grades are produced to specification, Buchanans operates a well equipped laboratory, including a spectrophotometer, a metallurgical microscope and a tensile tester. Testing and analysing is a routine part of production procedures, and test certification is available if specified by the client.QA testing and metallographic examination options available include:
